    Right from the first phone call we made to Glen, we had first class service and support.
    Faye was on the end of the phone to help with our queries and when we had to keep changing the date,
    they were so helpful and reassuring.

    “Folks, just a little feedback, I have asked for recommendations a number of times on this forum and members have always been kind enough to reply with suggestions.

    We asked for recommendations on removal companies and received a number of names, most we dismissed immediately because they wanted payment in full up front and that made us uncomfortable, that left two who were similar in price and did not demand prepayment, one other requirement we did have was the need for good communication and this led us to Pete Holbrook removals where we dealt with Fay at their office, she was 100% on all calls and emails.

    Our goods were stored at a security depot where door and combination lock codes were needed and all this was handled by Fay and the crew concerned. Our goods were collected on Tues last and delivered last Weds, the crew was polite and very helpful, recognising that the company has to pay ferry fairs and fuel we offered a substantial deposit up front and this was refused and we paid AFTER our goods were delivered here (on the day).

    Its unlikely we will ever move again, this is our final stop but if we did I would certainly use Pete Holbrook again and recommend them without hesitation.”

    Brilliant removal company, I really cannot recommend them highly enough – we’ve done 3 house moves with them now and I wouldn’t use anyone else on this or the north island.     Pete Holbrook Removals have been brilliant from the minute I sent my first enquiry message. We have moved over 30 times between us and these guys are the best we have ever used. Fay in the office gets back to you really quickly, answers every question and is really friendly. The guy that came to do our quote was professional, helpful and said our stuff would be “looked after like a baby”…..after a terrible experience with previous movers it was this line that sold Pete Holbrook to us. Moving day was the hottest of the year and all our furniture is big heavy stuff, the guys were amazing, calm, patient, didn’t get annoyed with anything at all even though our new doorway is very awkward for the size of our furniture. They worked so hard and you can tell by the way they approach things that they really know what they are doing. Amazing team of professional, friendly people that kept to their word and really looked after our things, hopefully we won’t have to move again but if we do we won’t use anyone else now.

    Carefully and efficiently

    Making the move from the island back to the mainland this time on my own was a very daunting thought, but this company were absolutely the best. They packed and unloaded everything carefully and efficiently; Glen and the team checked with me as to where things needed to go.     Pete Holbrook Removals have just moved us from the Isle of Wight to Pitlochry in Scotland. It was a complicated move spread over three days and we had to change the dates a couple of times. Our main contact (Faye) was understanding, patient, exceedingly helpful and always polite. When we suggested a last minute change to the actual time of departure the driver and his colleague were flexible and accommodating. The move was carried out quickly and efficiently.     You were right! Now the furniture is in, there’s hardly any room for us. We’re still sorting through and getting rid of stuff. It’s hard to part with items that we’ve had for 50+ years.
    We must compliment you on your professionalism and good humour. The days, both ends, finished in a good humoured way as well as starting in a friendly and relaxed way. Even though the stairs did not diminish.
    We wish you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year – if you need a reference you can call on us. there was no damage or breakage and we are very grateful. Thank you all very much, not forgetting the ladies in the office. The only casualties were of my own making. I can’t find the keys to the grandfather clock and corner cupboard.     We cannot praise and thank you all enough. Our move to I.O.W at the beginning of July 2017 was a huge decision and change for us and we had some worries.
     
    From the moment Rich, Simon and Harry arrived all our worries were gone. They did a brilliant job! They worked so hard and had efficiently emptied our home of 16 years in just 4 hours and we’re on their way. The lads were always cheerful, friendly and professional. the way they packed and loaded the lorry only comes with knowledge and experience.
     
    When I arrived on the Island late the next day, the lads had moved us into our new home. I can imagine how hard they must have worked again, as access is tricky.
     
    From first contact to the removal, the service was seamless and professional. Excellent value for money.

We have a large piece that had to come in over a balcony, not envisaged in the first place, but true to their word they came back and got it in when more hands were available.     There can’t be many people who have to do two separate moves just one week apart. On 17th July we moved my 89 year old mother (who had had a heart attack two weeks prior to the move) from the mainland to Ryde and on the 24th of July, my husband and I also moved from Farnham to Ryde.
     
    I was so worried about the moves, we had been in our house for 28 years and had accumulated a lot of stuff, I had to nurse my mother and pack my house up in the morning and move on to packing hers up in the afternoon. It was quite a walk from my mother’s front door to the available parking area and I thought this might be a problem for the men. I was worried that my stuff wouldn’t fit in the truck, frankly, I was so stressed I was worried about everything!
     
    On my mother’s moving day I was up at 4.00am worried sick, I paced the house. At 7.45am, precisely on stated time, the crew arrived and within half an hour all my worries had gone. They were helpful, happy, and professional, they cleared the house efficiently, nothing was a problem or too much trouble, Harry even helped my son empty the dust bag of the hoover into a bin bag.
     
    One week on and it was our move. I worried no more, I knew what a fabulous team would be with us every step of the way, and as before the smart uniformed crew arrived spot on time and made everything go flawlessly.
     
    So I just want to say a big thank you to you all. I’m telling everyone how wonderful you were.
    If anyone wants a personal recommendation just give them my details and they can talk to me. Oh, and as a footnote, not one broken or damaged item in two moves.

    Now that everything is all organised, I wanted to write and thank you for doing such a fantastic job helping to move my father’s things to Ireland. The fact that you made it completely stress free for me and that you have all been so pleasant and professional to deal with, made a huge impact on me.
     
    As for the two lads…wow…they do you credit ! They arrived exactly on time, were immaculately dressed and did an incredible job manoeuvring the truck down the hill towards the barn!
    Everything was done calmly, and always with a smile on their faces. It really helped because my father was terribly distressed seeing his ‘home’ dismantled on the IOW; it brought back all the wonderful memories of life with my mother who only died 3 years ago.
     
    So, I thank you and the lads from the bottom of my heart for making what was a daunting task for me, not so bad!
