Having had their team move us from the mainland to the Isle of Wight, store items for us whilst we completed, move us into our new home and consolidate furniture from another property… it could have gone horribly wrong. Removal from Southampton to Freshwater

Right from the first phone call we made to Glen, we had first class service and support.
Faye was on the end of the phone to help with our queries and when we had to keep changing the date,
they were so helpful and reassuring.
The team that moved us were efficient, pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.
We would not hesitate to use them again and have already recommended them to some friends who have also used them.
We moved 12 weeks ago and are now settled.
Due to their careful handling of our furniture and belongings not one item was damaged or broken.

“Folks, just a little feedback, I have asked for recommendations a number of times on this forum and members have always been kind enough to reply with suggestions.

We asked for recommendations on removal companies and received a number of names, most we dismissed immediately because they wanted payment in full up front and that made us uncomfortable, that left two who were similar in price and did not demand prepayment, one other requirement we did have was the need for good communication and this led us to Pete Holbrook removals where we dealt with Fay at their office, she was 100% on all calls and emails.

Our goods were stored at a security depot where door and combination lock codes were needed and all this was handled by Fay and the crew concerned. Our goods were collected on Tues last and delivered last Weds, the crew was polite and very helpful, recognising that the company has to pay ferry fairs and fuel we offered a substantial deposit up front and this was refused and we paid AFTER our goods were delivered here (on the day).

Its unlikely we will ever move again, this is our final stop but if we did I would certainly use Pete Holbrook again and recommend them without hesitation.”

Brilliant removal company

Brilliant removal company, I really cannot recommend them highly enough – we’ve done 3 house moves with them now and I wouldn’t use anyone else on this or the north island. They’re friendly, well organised, efficient, extremely helpful and accommodating and always good humoured – exactly what you need when moving house. You won’t regret choosing Holbrooks. Pete Holbrook Removals have been brilliant

Pete Holbrook Removals have been brilliant from the minute I sent my first enquiry message. We have moved over 30 times between us and these guys are the best we have ever used. Fay in the office gets back to you really quickly, answers every question and is really friendly. The guy that came to do our quote was professional, helpful and said our stuff would be “looked after like a baby”…..after a terrible experience with previous movers it was this line that sold Pete Holbrook to us. Moving day was the hottest of the year and all our furniture is big heavy stuff, the guys were amazing, calm, patient, didn’t get annoyed with anything at all even though our new doorway is very awkward for the size of our furniture. They worked so hard and you can tell by the way they approach things that they really know what they are doing. Amazing team of professional, friendly people that kept to their word and really looked after our things, hopefully we won’t have to move again but if we do we won’t use anyone else now.

Carefully and efficiently

Making the move from the island back to the mainland this time on my own was a very daunting thought, but this company were absolutely the best. They packed and unloaded everything carefully and efficiently; Glen and the team checked with me as to where things needed to go. They dismantled, reassembled lifted and shifted some heavy and awkward items and were just so pleasant. Fay gave me lots assurance along the way that everything would be fine and I thank her for that. Would recommend this company every time, thank you Fay, Glen and the crew.

Pete Holbrook Removals have just moved us from the Isle of Wight to Pitlochry in Scotland. It was a complicated move spread over three days and we had to change the dates a couple of times. Our main contact (Faye) was understanding, patient, exceedingly helpful and always polite. When we suggested a last minute change to the actual time of departure the driver and his colleague were flexible and accommodating. The move was carried out quickly and efficiently. We moved from Cheshire and used the company over a three day period. They came on time, actually early, worked very hard and were pleasant and friendly. We have a large piece that had to come in over a balcony, not envisaged in the first place, but true to their word they came back and got it in when more hands were available. Right from the prompt quote from Fay, the whole move was managed in a friendly and efficient way. The team turned up first thing and loaded the lorry very quickly packing everything in safely, so everything arrived in one piece and undamaged. What could have been a very stressful day moving in the heatwave from the mainland to the island was made such less so by the attitude of Glenn and the lads. Thank you.
